Social media Advent Calendar

Writer's picture: Ripl TeamRipl Team

The holidays are filled with traditions to make the season more fun, so we wanted to add a marketing twist to a familiar one. Our 2022 social media Advent Calendar is here to help you easily create social content without the fuss.

Keep reading to learn how to use the calendar and how you can get the most out of it.

Social media Advent Calendar

Our Content Design Team has created an Advent Calendar for you. This calendar consists of 25 posts that let you share a new piece of content each day in December. These posts will help you create interesting content and increase your customer engagement all month long. This calendar is filled with lots of ideas like fun facts, questions, announcements, and love. You will be able to start on the 1st of December and schedule all your posts out to the 25th of December.

Below is a preview of all 25 days of the calendar. Click on the images to create and schedule your own posts.

How to use this Advent Calendar

Let’s start with the December first post and wish your customer a “Happy First Day of December”—all you need to do is add your Logo and Brand Slide, which is now available on Web App and iOS and you will be able to share your post in minutes.

Most of these posts will need minimal work from you—our design team has crafted these templates with lots of thought and love and they know that you should focus on your business during this busy time of the year.

Here are some helpful tips to get your posts quickly shared and scheduled:

  1. Add your logo

  2. Add your Brand Slide

  3. Share and schedule your posts in advance

    1. Some posts will need a little customization but not much

  4. Voilà you are done for December!

If you are ready to get going, make sure to sign up for a Ripl free trial to access the posts. For more content ideas take a look at our December content calendar.

How to use the giveaway templates

To give back to your customers and thank them, we’ve created templates you can use for a quick weekend giveaway. These are intended to begin on a Friday and end on a Sunday. You can either use the template we have in our Advent Calendar or use any of the templates from the Giveaway collection from here.

The idea behind these posts is to thank your customers while also boosting your social media engagement. The more likes and comments the better the Facebook or Instagram algorithm will pick up your posts and show them to your customers and audience. Link to the giveaway collection.

All of these posts can be also shared in different formats. Do you want to announce your giveaway in a Story on Instagram? No problem, we got you covered. Just change the aspect ratio, adjust the text and you are ready to go!

How to get the most from the social media engagement templates

You may have noticed some of the templates are more open-ended or have question prompts. These were designed to help stop your follower’s scroll and drive more social engagement!

In order to get the most out of these templates, we’ve rounded up our top 3 engagement tips.

Here are our top tips:

  • If applicable, use the caption for some light business promo. For example, on Day 19 the post asks what’s on your follower’s wishlist. This could be a perfect time to promote the wishlist function on your online store

  • End your captions with a call to action (CTA) to reinforce the question in the post and encourage responses

  • Reply to comments right away. This encourages dialogue and shows that there is a real person behind the account

We hope you enjoy this social media Advent Calendar. Happy Sharing!
